How much are Flight Lessons?

The cost of flight training has various factors. Training is pay-as-you-go; however, students may opt to purchase “block rates” for a discounted cost. Lessons are billed hourly based on two separate factors: aircraft rental and Instruction provided. Your program’s training syllabus will provide specific estimates of each lessons instruction time as well as flight time. Aircraft rental fees are based on aircraft operation time. We calculate this based on the aircraft’s internal clock known as a “Hobbs” meter. Flight Instruction time is also billed in this way. Ground Instruction is billed based on the lesson times noted in your courses respective syllabus. Below reflects the rates for each service:

How much is a Pilot License?

Becoming a pilot is an exciting accomplishment! Determining your training costs; however, depends on the type of privileges you hope to exercise with your pilot certificate. Below you will find estimated pricing based on the type of flying you intend to do. For recreational and leisure flying, we recommend the Private Pilot License. For professional career minded students, we recommend the Commercial Pilot License.

Private Pilot License

Fly your own personal aircraft for recreation or liesure.

$8,500 – 12,500

Instrument Rating

Add to your existing license to fly in low visibility conditions.

$7,000 –  $10,000

Commerical Pilot License

Obtain employement as a professional pilot for hire.

$35,000 – $90,000

Multi Engine Rating

Add to your existing license to fly aircraft with two engines.

$5,500 – $9,000
